Learned the Shore
We only imagine
the void before our world
in a mind we know incapable

But since
earth and water
cells from sun and soaked sand
gentle pull of the moon
stabilized motion
communicates waves to the ocean

Tide after tide
the broken down cell souls
were ghosts on the shore
billowing waves
taught them to hear

Air gave them voices
listened and sang
the ocean’s song
from the outside
learned the shore
learned to walk away

A scene of rocky coastline with waves breaking against the rough stones.
